In November 2009 Premier Systems secured the IT relocation contract to cover all requirements of both the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The project involved both a full TUPE process combined with a month of shadowing the existing works programme to gain familiarisation of the estate and working practices.

Project Solution

Working directly for the IT Relocation Contract Manager for the Parliamentary Estate Directorate, Premier Systems IT, engineers operate the daily running of the help desk. The services provided include the:

• Distribution and installation of new IT equipment
• Collection and environmental and secure disposal of all redundant equipment
• De-commissioning, transportation, cleaning and re-commissioning on all project related work

A dynamic contract these services have covered major periods of change such as the last general election. This required the relocation of over 1000 staff from Houses and the subsequent storage, distribution and collection of IT Equipment for new MPs and staff.

Premier Systems IT now have a dedicated team of up to 25 engineers that are CTC cleared for works in all areas of the estate.
