Premier Sustain Shortlisted For Sustainability Awards
The Premier Sustain team was delighted to have been shortlisted this month for the 2012 City of London Sustainability Awards under the category “Tackling Climate Change”.
The City of London Awards reward UK organisations, from multinational businesses to small charities, and promote outstanding achievements and innovation across all aspects of sustainability. Premier Sustain entered our Five Step Approach to Sustainable Furniture Management for the Tackling Climate Change Award, the focus of which is recognising and rewarding organisations who are taking steps to mitigate the effects of their activities on climate changes.
“It is wonderful to have our efforts in delivering a truly sustainable service recognised in this way. Our approach to prevention, minimising, reusing and recycling redundant office furniture has so far delivered in excess of 1,600 tonnes of CO2(e) savings for our clients “ explains Phil Oram, Operations Director.
Premier Sustain is one of five businesses shortlisted in this category, the Awards ceremony will take place at the Lord Mayor’s official residence Mansion House on 1st March. Presentations will be made by Raymond Blanc Chef Patron of Le Manoir aux Quat.
Helping FMs lead the CSR Agenda

The article goes on to outline how Premier Sustain’s ‘Giving Back Project’ helps FMs to contribute meaningfully to their company’s CSR agenda.

Premier Moves declared FM World Champions
It was a cold winter’s night in Wembley but that did nothing to stop the top scoring performance by the Premier Moves team entered into the FM World five a side football tournament.
The Premier Moves team, comprising of Dave Russinger, Alex Rushbrooke Craig Sweetingham Chris Dumoulin, Harry Edwards, Michael Oliver and Joe Arojojoye only managed a few practice sessions but it was enough to become the Champions of the FM World Supplier Five A Side Football tournament.
A total of 16 teams competed from across a spectrum of FM suppliers, but there was no stopping the Premier team. After reaching the quarter finals, they thrashed the BIFM team 5 – 2 then in the semi’s closely beat Countrywide Cleaning 5-4 and finally they took glory 3-1 against Office Test in the final.
“Congratulations to Premier Moves who was eventual winner and a very well deserved winner at that” said John Nahar of FM World.
“We had a great night and played really well together as a team, and of course were very pleased to be the FM World Champions” said Dave Russinger, Sales Director, Premier Moves.
